  • Vertical Oscillation (VO): We measure the vertical displacement of your torso in millimeters. A low VO means you are a more efficient runner, wasting less energy on "bouncing" and more on "moving forward."
  • Ground Contact Time (GCT): Thanks to the high sampling rate of the Apple Watch's inertial sensors, we detect the impact and toe-off phase of each foot, helping you monitor your neuromuscular fatigue.
